About Tonia Jillings
Following completion of a BA Design Crafts course at Lowestoft
College, Tonia specialises in using wood, plastic and metals to
create 3D work which is somewhere between sculptural forms and
furniture ideas. She has also enjoyed spending time experimenting
with photography, textiles, ceramics, printing and
painting.
Having always lived in Suffolk, she enjoys using the landscape,
especially the coastline, for inspiration. She records visual
research using photography and drawings, some of which have been
exhibited within two collaborative art groups,Inprint and ARC
around Suffolk and Norfolk .
She is now considering the scale of her work, and selected
samples of her work will be on show at the welbourne Festival
with Inprint this June (2007).
She has pieces for sale and is available for commission work.
