Tim Lenton reads his poem in front of Bronwen Edward's wonderful piece inspired by Tim's poem
Over 150 people attended the Open Studios Bally Factory event, Sunday 20th May. There is a real buzz between the artists and their studios at this amazing factory location. InPrint is very much part of that buzz.
The collaboration between InPrint artists and poets finds both incredible diversity in image and text, and such a wonderful spirit of support within the group.
To post a poetry reading in our studio and gallery spaces was brave, yet near forty people listened.
We made a video and sound recording of the reading - and scores, if not hundreds, of photographs were taken of our wonderful art works and interwoven texts.
A full documentary of Open Studios will follow as a means to open up our future. As you'll find beneath from Lisa D'Onofrio's entry, our forward direction began at the font! You'll also find Tonia Jillings photos of people gathered around and underneath our installation 'Shaded.'
Coming up here shortly, the brilliant work of Mike Fenton, Bronwen Edwards and Annette Rolston.
This is a work in progress by InPrint's Tonia Jillings and Rupert Mallin for Norfolk Open Studios at The Factory, May 19 to June 3. 'Shaded' features found objects related to Lowestoft beach - parasols, seats, a box and a folder. Featured here is a detail of the skeletal parasols on the factory floor.
